ORGANIC CHAPATI
INGREDIENTS
1 cup leaves of spinach (Palak)
8-10 leaves of fenugreek (Meethi) (optional)
1 chopped carrot
1/2 cup chopped bottle gourd
1 chopped beetroot
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic
METHOD
Keep chopped beetroot in water for 15 minutes, to take out most of its color. In a mixer, grind all the ingredients together to make a smooth paste. Make a dough for chapati using this paste. Use water if required.
* Color of chapati will be brown, in case your kids don't like this color you can omit beetroot, it will come to be green in color.
* You can convince them, it's "chocolate chapati".
Pictorial:
1. Soak beetroot in water for about 15 minutes.
2. In a jar, add bottle gourd, carrot, spinach, fenugreek and beetroot.
3. Add chopped garlic and water to make a smooth paste and knead a dough with its paste with whole wheat flour.
4. Make chapati or paranthas.
5. Apply Ghee and serve with vegetable or dal.
