SHAKARKANDI HALWA / SWEET POTATO HALWA / SWEET POTATO PUDDING

INGREDIENTS
1 cup boiled and mashed sweet potato
3-4 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup milk
few strands of saffron
1/2 tsp cardamom powder (elachi powder)

METHOD
Dissolve saffron in warm milk and keep aside. Heat ghee in pan, add boiled and mashed sweet potato. Saut� till it combines and changes colour to golden.


Add milk and mix well. Now add powdered sugar and cook for another 5 minutes or till it start leaving the sides of pan.

Garnish with nuts of your and enjoy!

NOTES:
1. I kept sugar level little low as sweet potato contains sugar. You can adjust according to your taste.

5. Cook for 2 minutes.








6. Add sugar.








7. Cook for 5 minutes.








8. Once it start leaving the sides of pan, it's done.
