BEETROOT BONDA

INGREDIENTS
3 medium sized boiled and mashed potato
1 medium sized finely chopped boiled beetroot
1 large chopped onion
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp kasuri meethi
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp cumin seeds
salt to taste
1 cup besan (gram flour)
1 tbsp rice flour (optional)

METHOD
Heat oil in pan, add cumin seeds. Add onions, saute till golden in color. Add ginger garlic paste, saute. Add garam masala, turmeric, salt and kasuri meethi. Now add boiled mashed potatoes. Mix well and cook it for 5 minutes. Add boiled beetroot and cook for sometime. Turn off the gas. Let it cool down. Make balls of potato beetroot mixture. In a bowl, add besan and rice flour, add salt and mix well. Coat beetroot balls in besan batter with soft hands and deep fry. Serve with ketchup.

11. Take 1 cup gram flour (besan) in a bowl.













12. Now goes 2 tbsp rice flour (optional)













13. Add salt to taste.













14. Add 1 tsp turmeric.













15. Add water to make medium consistency batter.













16. Like this.













17. Make round balls of beetroot mixture.













18. Coat the ball well in batter.













19. Deep fry in hot oil.














20. Take out when golden in color.
















21. Decorate with beetroot and coriander. Serve with sauce.
